EU AI Act officially enters into force
The Act was published in the Official Journal on July 12, 2024, and officially enters into force 20 days later.
Prohibited AI practices banned
Chapter I and II (prohibitions) apply. All systems falling under Unacceptable Risk must be decommissioned within the EU.
GPAI obligations apply
Obligations for providers of General Purpose AI models become enforceable.
High-Risk AI obligations apply (Annex III)
